The Retreat Venue
Joyful Journey Hot Springs is a serene sanctuary nestled amidst the majestic landscapes of the Colorado mountains. With a mission to uplift spirits and open hearts, this tranquil retreat center offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and healing waters. Guests can immerse themselves in the rejuvenating powers of the natural hot springs, surrounded by breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. Whether seeking relaxation, renewal, or spiritual connection, Joyful Journey Hot Springs provides a sacred space for all to unwind, recharge, and rediscover inner peace.
The Healing Waters:
The soothing waters of this area are known for their powers to awaken the hearts and uplift the spirits, as well as various therapeutic effects such as enhanced respiration, restored nervous system, increased metabolism, better blood circulation, increased energy, remedied insomnia and arthritis, and improved immunity.
Naturally heated by the earth’s active geothermal and hydrothermal activity, the mineral waters rise from secluded artesian springs between 120 and 140 degrees and are tempered down to 98-108 degrees to three soaking pools and two jacuzzi tubs. There is also a cold plunge, and a sauna. The water is a sodium bicarbonate type with significant levels of boron, calcium, lithium, and magnesium, along with several other beneficial minerals. No chlorine or other chemicals are added, and there is no sulfur odor that is often present in other hot springs.
Meals
The Joyful Journey kitchen will prepare all meals in-house and serve healthy, nourishing meals throughout your stay, starting with dinner on Monday, and completing with breakfast on Friday. They take great pride in their efforts to use locally grown, sustainable and organic ingredients whenever possible. The menu caters to diverse dietary preferences, including meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-less options are available each meal.
Getting to the Retreat
Step away from the busyness of everyday life and join us at this peaceful haven, off the beaten path in the tiny town of Moffat in southern Colorado. Regardless of where you are traveling from you are sure to enjoy the vast scenic views during your travels. Once you register, you will have access to the private retreat forum, where you can coordinate travel schedules and ride shares if needed. Please note that this is a very remote, rural section of Colorado with sparse population, few services and amaenities. Plan your travels accordingly.

Accommodation Options:
Joyful Journey Hot Springs is a peaceful oasis nestled in the Sangre De Cristo mountains of the magical San Luis Valley, in Moffat, Colorado. This all-inclusive retreat package offers a range of accommodation options, all of which include access to the hot springs and daily meals. All Participants will have a private room. Each lodging option has limited spaces and will be assigned on a first-come basis, so register early. Please note there are no televisions in the rooms. The simple accommodations reflect a place to connect on a deep level with spiritual teachings and the beauty of the high mountain desert.

- 4-day retreat program beginning with Monday evening welcome ceremony, ending with Friday morning sound healing soaking session
- 4 nights lodging Monday - Thursday
